Your pictures evoked the memory of Robert Brownings poem "Oh to be in England now that April's there" which Geoffrey Palmer recites on the YouTube clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DgAz7ksiJM (among many other versions).
Thanks you again for your delightful images.

What a wonderful website. Iโ€™ve really enjoyed looking through all your photos. Stumbled across it as I researched walks in Mallorca but kept scrolling through to look at all your other walks in the UK! Really fabulous.

I love reading about your walks and especially looking at your amazing photos.
I followed your route up Skiddaw via Ullock Pike, last Saturday - I had originally planned to do this from Latrigg until I saw your pics - being able to see Skiddaw for the whole route was great - and by the time we climbed it, the cloud had disappeared. We had wonderful views. I always look out for your blogs when planning a walk - thank you .๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hi Andrew, lovely pics of your walk up Birks and Arnison Crag. You pick some great days for the weather to go walking. Your holiday on Islay and pics were stunning, you were lucky with the weather.

Thank you so much for the photographic record of these wonderful walks. Such a vivid reminder of happy fell walking days before age and the pandemic intervened. Your photographs and videos are inspiring and bring such delight. An absolute blessing. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜

Thank you so much, I love your posts. I have looked at many of your walks in the Lakes. Have just found your walk up Glaramara via Hind Gill, very useful.....I have foot trouble and am a bit limited with the longer walks so am always seeking out viable ways of getting up the mountains without encountering difficult terrain or mammoth distances.
Great photos! Getting ready for a Lakes trip in June. Thanks again .
Jane.

The ways how to get to this fantastic website are strange sometimes. I was looking for photos of the area where James Rebanks lives. I put in Matterdale and photos on Google, and then I came across Andrew's website. Greetings from the Lรผneburg Heath in Northern Germany.

Hi Andrew, all the Best for Xmas and the New Year to you and your family. Enjoyed your pics of Lingmell in late November, one great walk is that. First did it whilst on Outwardbound from Eskdale in Nov 1969 and walked it a couple times since. Always very cold that side of Scafell but like you said miss all the crowds heading for Englands highest.
All the Best John Wylie

Hello Andrew - After a walk in and around Forge Valley today, I have just stumbled upon your delightful website! Unfortunately, not that much autumnal colour in the woods at present, the trees having shed most of their leaves by now. However the Beech leaves never fail to create a beautiful woodland carpet! I look forward to following many more of your hikes and enjoying the lovely accompanying photos. Thanks for sharing your personal thoughts and views with a wider audience - we all need a nature-fix! Kind regards, Patty

Hello Andrew ๐Ÿ‘‹. Just a quick note of great thanks for your awesome pictures, so-thorough & enjoyable trek notes, and your faithfulness to the land.
I used to work in London & would go adventuring at every chance. It was so nice to come across your website! Thanks for the re-visit to wonderful Lake District ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Hi Andrew, hope you are all well. Great pics you have posted of your holiday on Arran, particularly of the Banner Cloud time lapse over Holy Island - I have not come across that before. Arran is a great place for walking, we had a week down by Lamlash in 2002 when we had a cottage for week. I walked the Glen Sannox Horseshoe one of the days - it was bit hairy in places as I was on my own. As they say, the Isle of Arran is Scotland in miniature. I think there are more English people retired on the island than Scots.
Kind regards John Wylie.

Thanks for your effort with these, I used them for a trip to the Lakes last week and close to home (Levisham - the Hole of Horcum) this week. Iโ€™ve found your website really useful in planning walks and assessing suitability, but also for just browsing and getting inspired!
