Route: Crummock Water from Park Bridge
Area: Western Lake District

Weather: Thick cloud, strong wind, very cold, constant drizzle
There was only time for a short stroll today but it’s worth recording in my walking diary as the surrounding landscape is beautiful. I parked at Park Bridge (aptly named – or perhaps not as there’s only room for two cars maximum)
After walking through Lowpark and above Highpark I climbed to the brow from where there is a good view along Crummock Water. I descended to the shore of Crummock Water here by the side of the dry stone wall, and on reaching the shoreline turned left
When I reached the pump house I headed inland and crossed the bridge over Park Beck to follow the track leading to Muncaster House. From there it’s a short stroll along a quiet lane back to the start
The weather was really poor but the landscape provided ample compensation for that and it was an enjoyable little outing

Even lowly Low Fell is in the clouds

On arriving at Muncaster House I turn left along the lane
Low Fell again, and the end of the walk is just around the corner
