Thank you for the detailed write up / photos of the Esk Valley walk. We decided to stop off en route up north for a few hours. The walk was perfect with a bit of everything along the way, really nice walk along the river and luckily the stepping stones at Egton were accessible for something different. A great route and easily navigated! Thanks.

Hi Andrew,
Just popped by again to check out your latest walks as we will be in the lake district next week and I find your site an ideal reference point. Probably going to be in the Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere area quite a bit, and quite fancy the circuit of Cogra Moss based on your photos. Keep safe, Best Regards, Jason

I came across your website while webbling for walks near Richmond.
The site is a joy, and the Marske walk on a warm, still day was a delight.
Thanks for sharing this inspiring resource.

Hi Andrew, hope you are all well. Just a few short words to say that the video of Herdwicks in the Lakes was just superb.Somethings we take for granted when walking up the fells are the Herdies but in these strange times they are very special.

Hi
Just found your Kirk Fell walk/scramble. I was trying to find out if it was an official scrambling route as I went that way myself. Your description pretty well summed it up. I too had a debate of reversing or continuing hoping I didn't stuck if it got harder! The gully wasn't nice but even though a 'one mistake and it's bye bye world' scramble out it was actually good scramble. It just needs to be somewhere other than above that gully! I too was glad to be out with a bit of jelly legs!

I've been an ardent follower of your site since our lovely stay at Hackness back in 2014. In the current sad times it is such a tonic to browse through your photos and appreciate how wonderful the British countryside is even though we can't enjoy it for ourselves. I'm just browsing through your latest photos of Northumberland at the moment with Finzi's Eclogue playing in the background - very moving. I hope you are not feeling too confined at the moment. At least you can venture straight out of the door onto the fells.

I just wanted to echo the thanks that previous Guests have left. I am thoroughly enjoying your site. Thank you for all the time that you have put into creating and maintaining this brilliant resource. It’s a tonic to follow some of your walks, especially now we are all rather housebound with Covid-19.
Best wishes.

Dear Andrew,
wonderful website! I have a question to you- would you recommend doing Faja Racon route with small kids? We are plan to visit Ordesa in late April.
Warm regards,

Hi Andrew. Happy New Year to you and hope that you are keeping well. Enjoyed the pics you have posted of Lingmoor Fell on 5th February. I spent a lot of time in December 1969 in Langdale and the mountains that surround it whilst at Eskdale Outward Bound School for 25 days. Did not realise how beautiful Langdale was from your walk. All the best, John Wylie.

Hi Andrew, I stumbled upon your web page just before our trip to Lorton for new year and was glad I did!, I tried several of your walks, including Brackenthwaite Hows, which I've passed below in the woods several times and didn't even know it was there. Suffice it to say we did it on a very blustery day and had it to ourselves, but the views were worth it.
I've just seen your entry from January 1st 2020, when my wife, dog and I were on the Fellbarrow/Low Fell ridge. The view over the valley, down over Crummock Water and Buttermere and over to Loweswater, (as shown by you in the picture above) are probably one of the best in the lakes and are (so far) relatively undiscovered.
Thanks for all your walking ideas, I'll look at wading through as many as I can when I'm in the area and may even bump into you at some point!
Keep up the good work,
Ian h.

Came to your site via a random look at the talkphotography blog where I clicked on the first entry on 'locations' where someone was raving about 'Faja de Pelay' - googled it via images and then clicked on your photo. Then spent ten minutes browsing your walks and bookmarked your page! It's brilliant well done!

Good evening Andrew. I have enjoyed your holiday and Lakeland Pics through out this year. I look forward to the most wonderful images which you capture and the Cumbrian collection allows me to recall my memorable walks and visits to your most beautiful county. There is one question I must ask . How is that you manage to plan for the most perfect weather? We have all experienced the atrocious conditions which can strike at any time . You must plan well ahead or do you have inside knowledge and if so the BBC Weather forecasters need to Know. You certainly have a very good eye when you need to decide on the best panorama before you.
Thankyou for allowing me to join you in your walks.
Peter S, Northumberland.
