1 Venice
Venice is one of the world's most beautiful cities. This route combines the famous canals and architecture with quieter waterside areas that reveal a different side of the city. This walk brought back happy memories of our honeymoon in 1984, which is why it's a personal favourite
2 Vancouver Seawall
The walk around Vancouver Seawall offers a variety of scenery, including towering skyscapers, sea views and beaches and it was a wonderful experience to visit our son James here to be guided along this route by him
3 Ronda
This return visit to Ronda brought back more happy memories as we walked around its ancient streets and gazed in awe at the massive gorge on which the town is built
4 Bruges
A walk around the maze of cobbled streets of the beautiful city of Bruges, enhanced by some lovely light on the day
5 Paris
A walk around of the the world's great cities, home to numerous historic buildings
6 York City Walls
York City Walls (or Bar Walls) are a scheduled ancient monument encircling the historic City of York and comprise two miles of surviving masonry. They are the longest town walls in England and enjoy fabulous views over the city and its minster
7 Lincoln
Wonderful views of Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle enjoyed from the Lincoln Wall Walk
8 Chania Old Town
A highlight of a walking holiday on Crete - a walk around Chania Old Town, which has been invaded by numerous civilisations during its turbulent history, including the Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, Turks, Egyptians and Arabs
9 Pitigliano
A memorable walk from the spectacularly situated town of Pitigliano, perched on top of a vertical cliff and with a history dating back to Etruscan times
10 Seville
Seville, home to many magnificent old buildings, including the Cathedral and Alcazar Palace, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites
