We arrived here on foot, having walked over from the nearby Queen Elizabeth Park. We followed a clockwise route which incorporated many of the garden features, the highlights being the perennial and rose gardens, the Sino-Himalayan area, and the various lakes, streams and waterfalls. It was a wonderful visit which took us about 2 hours, although there’s enough interest here for a full day. We wanted to make the most of our short time in Vancouver so made our way to the exit to catch the bus to Granville Island, the subject of our next walk
Note that the route map shows the paths we followed around both Queen Elizabeth Park and VanDusen Botanical Garden. It is not intended to be a detailed guide to either place and it’s best to wander around wherever your interest takes you. The map also shows the walking route between the two, which takes about 15 minutes
