There was driving rain and low cloud in the morning so I abandoned my planned fell walk. The weather cleared slightly in the afternoon, though the clouds were low, and for this reason I decided on a low level walk round Ennerdale
Ennerdale is out on a limb and usually much quieter than the other lakes, and this proved to be the case today
I parked in the free car park at Bleach Green and walked anti-clockwise round the lake
The weather improved as the afternoon went on, although the clouds continued to obscure the higher fells
