Route: Drewton
Area: East Yorkshire
Date of walk: 12th October 2014
Walkers: Andrew and Gilly
Distance: 3.5 miles
Ascent: 400 feet
Weather: sunny
We did a longer version of this walk in May and decided it was about time to pay another visit to the beautiful Drewton Estate on on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds
As we’d done on the previous occasion we walked past Drewton Manor then climbed uphill above Austin Dale. At the top of the woods we walked beside the road, but only for a couple of minutes, before heading gently back downhill along Drewton Wold
At the foot of the Wold we rejoined the estate road which took us back to the start
We didn’t have time to visit the nearby Drewton Farm Shop, but anyone following this route is recommended to include this in their plans – it’s well worth the short detour and a great way of finishing the walk
