it was a wonderful to come across your website this evening with so many beautiful photographs of the walks that you followed from my Cicerone guide The Mountains of Ronda and Grazalema.
Many thanks for the thumbs up.
I wonder if you have come across the GR-141 and the GR-243?
These are two short, GR trails that both begin in Ronda and can be completed in a week of walking.
And both are wonderful.
The GR-141 describes a 6 day loop south of Ronda via the Genal and Guadiaro valley, in six stages. The GR-243 is a linear trail that begins in Ronda and ends in Istรกn, passing through some of the most beautiful parts of La Sierra de las Nieves.
Both routes can be covered in 6 days of walking, meaning that these are two complete trails than can be covered in the span of a week's holiday from the UK.
If you plan to return to the Ronda mountains I'd be delighted to provide you with walking notes for the route.
