Just thought I would email to say that I really enjoyed your website, your galleries have the best photos Iโve seen in a long while and the description of the walks are enjoyable to read. We have a holiday apartment in Alston Cumbria and I will recommend your site to walker visitors looking for good walks in Eden

My name is Doreen and I am a Yorkshire girl born and bred but I love the Lake District. My brother has lived in Keswick since the age of 21 and as a result I have visited many, many times. If my husband wasn't such a dedicated Yorkshire man I would move up there in a heart beat. So you can imagine my delight when I found your website. I love your walking blogs and your photos are second to none. That you should take so much time and trouble to post your walks is amazing and much appreciated by folk like me who long to be there with you both.
So well done Andrew and Gilly on your recently acquired award for best Travel Blog - very well deserved.

One of the many reasons why I love your website is that you lavish as much care on the smaller fells as you do on the higher ones. Living some of the time in Cockermouth, I have a great affection for Ling and Sale as they herald coming home (and sadly, leaving).
Marvellous.

I have spent 40 years walking in the lakes and had a holiday home there for 12 years - how have I managed to miss your excellent web site? Full marks for content and presentation. The clarity and easy style of your site is an exemplar and I can't wait to get out there. I find the link to the OS maps really useful

Thanks for the photos of Brothers Water.
Camped there many years ago (46), after A level exams. Brought back good memories.

A very brief message to simply say that I really like your site, the walks, the useful links to the OS maps and especially the photographs - some of which are stunning. As keen walker who is too often stuck in an office and not near a fell, I keep checking in to see where I should really be. Anyway, I just wanted to say keep up the good work and to give some credit where it is very much due, as that happens far too infrequently when you are putting yourself out there (as it were). All the best, and thanks

Just a line to thank you for your walks and your wonderful photography throughout the year. As a fell walker of some 65 years ago, many memories are brought back looking at your walks. A Happy New Year to you and your family and Bonnie

I just had to send Christmas greeting from Denmark where we are having a very grey Christmas season, so it is nice to see snow on the tops in your photos. Also the super photos from Rydal Water - so full of atmosphere. Have a happy Christmas and a super photo 2018 - I'll be following you!!
(I learnt about your website from my brother who lives in Ilkley who is regularly in the Lakes.)

I cannot thank you enough for sharing your photos and record of your walks. I follow you on Twitter and I always look forward to your postings. Your photos are beautiful and often provide a much needed break during long stressful work days. My dad and I are both big walkers/hikers, we live in Minnesota in the US.. My dad is 80 and he would LOVE to do some of these hikes but knows it probably won't happen, but I told him about your site and he really enjoys it. Our ancestors were from Yorkshire and Norfolk so he particularly enjoys your Yorkshire walks

A thank you for allowing me to share your photography of the region I love, bringing me wonderful memories of my time in the Lake District capturing experiences of the walks I enjoyed with my wife. It is delightful and a joy. The recent walk over Latrigg is so vivid in my mind. Best Wishes to you at Christmas and may 2018 bring good walking days for you both

I recently discovered your website by pure chance after purchasing a GPS unit. What a discovery that was. We recently went to the Lake District and I used one of your walk GPX files (Gowbarrow Fell). The route worked perfectly and allowed me to start getting my head around the GPS unit. I enjoy just browsing through your walks and looking at the beautiful pictures you take. Please keep up the excellent work and a big thank you for taking the time to produce the website to such a high standard

I found your website via Google and what a wonderful surprise. Your photographs are truly amazing. I've been looking at the Norfolk ones, as I live in north Suffolk, and although I've visited both Holkham and Houghton Halls, I am seeing those places anew. And the wildlife photos: a class of their own. I'm now inspired to get my paints and pastels out. Thank you so much!

Just spent a couple of enjoyable hours going through your walking site. Superb content and even better photographs. I use the NYM weekly and you have done the area proud. I also enjoyed the record of your visit to Portpatrick, another area I have visited and enjoyed.
Well done. I will revisit the site often

I have stumbled across your walking blog while looking at possibly routes to climb Windy Gyle in Northumberland. I can honestly say that your walking, blogging and photography is absolutely fantastic, and has really inspired me to get out and do some of the walks. Lindisfarne in particular looks fantastic and I noticed the very last picture you suggest having the pilgrims way on your to do listโฆwell itโs about time you looked at the list ๐ haha.

Thanks Andrew, we're just coming to the end of a wonderful week in the Lakes. We've been staying near Spark Bridge and we've found your walks, descriptions and photos just brilliant- well done. We have used your Wastwater and Rydal water walks and found them so helpful. Your superb photos have whetted our appetites for many other places too.
