The Loweswater Show was established in 1870 and is an agricultural show which has changed little over the years. There’s a real feeling of countryside tradition, history and continuity about it. We first came here about 20 years ago and it’s always a very enjoyable day out and one that’s worth recording in my walking diary, even though it doesn’t involve a proper walk
In recent years the showground has been opposite New House Farm in Lorton Vale, which is very convenient for us as our house is nearby and our neighbour kindly lets us walk through her fields to get there
I’ll let the photos below tell the story of a very enjoyable day…
